I have just come across this site snd I would like to put my input in and ask for a favour.
First the favour.
Has anyone got an old Mitchell reel that is of little use to him/her?
All that I need is the handle to replace the one that broke on my old Match 440, I wil pay for it and collect.
Now me. I used to fish matches and winter leagues but now I have graduated to fly fishing and small stream river fishing for brown trout - lots of scope locally.
I mainly fish the River loxley and can honestly say that it is the most rewarding and enjoyable day out that I can have.
Trotting with a red maggot will bring 20, 30 or 40 good trout and when the conditions are right they respond to both wet and dry flies.
If anyone would like to try it and needs some help or directions then I will gladly assist.
